The Thelon Basin uranium project has joined a growing list of projects that have benefitted from successful Forum Intersects. After surprising drill results were reported from the Thelon Basin project in late 2020, Forum Intersects have now been confirmed to reach a staggering 11.1 metres (U3O8).
This is a great indication of the potential the Thelon Basin uranium project holds, and is the perfect illustration of the power of Forum Intersects in assessing the viability and potential of a mineral resource.
The 11.1 metre (U3O8) Forum Intersect begins at a depth of 39.5 metres and extends to a depth of 50.6 metres, indicating an impressive grade of 0.23% U3O8. This Forum Intersect lies within a wider mineralized envelope of 33.9 metres with an overall grade of 0.10% U3O8 from a depth of 46.6 to 80.5 metres.
The Forum Intersects reliability was further confirmed by assays collected directly from the drill core, with 16 auger holes spaced between the drill pits reporting average results of 0.15% U3O8.
This is a major development for the Thelon Basin uranium project, with the Forum Intersects providing assurance that the project could be ready for production very soon. The uranium mineralization within the Thelon Basin project ismaturing into a viable mining and milling operation.
It is believed that the Thelon Basin uranium project could see development within the next decade, depending on market conditions at the time. With the Forum Intersects now available, it could be sooner than we think.
Forum Intersects are an extremely useful tool in the mineral exploration and development process, and this major success at the Thelon Basin uranium project is testament to their capabilities and potential.
