The project is comprised of 12 mineral claims totalling 3,346 hectares and located less than 20 km south of the past-producing Cassiar Mine. Prominent notable examples of prospective geology located in the area of the property include the high-grade gold showings of the Sparta Mine, the past-producing Beattie silver-gold mine and the prolific Granduc massive sulphide copper mine.
Romios has carried out extensive exploration at the Newmont Lake Project, completing selective surface metallurgical sampling, geological mapping, gravity surveys and airborne VTEM surveys. The company is also planning further exploration and development work in the area, such as a ground gravity survey, pre-drilling work and geophysics to help prioritize drill targets.
