Brian Kemp’s Second Wave of Reason: Diving Away from Trump’s Corruption

In the wake of the 2020 Presidential Election and the accompanying chaos, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp has once again pushed back against the Trumpian deep end by looking to the future of the Republican Party.

Since the election, Governor Kemp has been a vocal critic of former President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn the democratic process in Georgia. When it comes to this election, Kemp said that the important thing is to move on and trust in the results.

“I don’t think it’s in the Republican Party’s best interest to relitigate this election,” Kemp said in a speech to the Republican Governors Association this week. “What we need to do is focus on the future of our party and our country.”

Kemp, a prominent member of the Republican Party, is one of many within the GOP who have called for the party to move on from the election and instead begin to focus on policy issues such as healthcare and infrastructure that could benefit both Republicans and Democrats.

Kemp has also worked to distance the party from Trump’s controversial policies, publicly condemning the former president’s attempts to revive the nation’s lockdown measures and other economic policies that would have negative consequences for the state.

Kemp has also been an advocate for a speedy transition to the Biden administration, indicating that the Republican Party should work within the parameters of the Biden-Harris agenda in order to keep the country moving forward.

Kemp’s efforts to contain the nation’s post-election turmoil is further evidence of the growing desire within the Republican Party to reconnect with the center of the political spectrum and move away from the destructive and divisive rhetoric of the last four years.

Kemp’s message of collaboration and compromise is exactly what the American people have been hungering for in a period of polarization and political gridlock, and is a reminder that real progress can only be achieved by working together.

Even in a time of partisanship and deep divisions, Governor Brian Kemp’s tenacity and willingness to look to the future of his party is a great symbol of the potential of bipartisan success.
