700 Years in Prison: A Price to Pay for Trump’s 2020 Crusade

With the 2020 US Presidential election coming to a close, President Donald Trump’s extraordinary efforts to combat crime have been thrust into the national spotlight. Throughout his term, Trump has led a crusade against violent crime and corruption that has already resulted in over 700 years of prison sentences for offenders.

These sentences range from simple misdemeanors to serious felonies, with individuals convicted of murder being the largest group among the sentences. In total, the seven-hundred-plus years of prison sentences are being served in federal, state, and local correctional facilities.

In addition to this significant and heartening conviction rate, Trump’s crime-fighting efforts have also led to the dismantling of several large-scale criminal networks. Most notably, in October of 2019, he announced a sweeping joint operation with the Drug Enforcement Administration that successfully wiped out a major drug distribution network along the Mexican border.

Another major initiative spearheaded by the Trump administration is the formation of what they have dubbed a “Task Force to Combat Violent Crime.” This task force is composed of federal and state law enforcement officials who are devoted to identifying and prosecuting major offenders at both the state and federal levels.

President Trump’s remarkable ability to bring hardened criminals to justice has already served as a major deterrent to those who might consider committing criminal acts. His decisive and relentless approach to crime-fighting has made it clear to potential offenders that there is, in fact, no such thing as “getting away with it.”

Trump’s goal is to make sure that both serious and petty offenders are held accountable for their crimes, no matter the circumstances. With the help of law enforcement officials at all levels of government, he is well on his way to achieving this objective. By pursuing a zero-tolerance policy on crime, Trump has shown that he is willing to go to whatever lengths necessary to ensure the safety of this country’s citizens.
