CVS Responds Quickly After Pharmacists Report Being Frustrated From Overwhelming Workload
CVS pharmacy responded quickly to reports of pharmacists feeling overwhelmed by their workload and not showing up to work. The chain has promised to support its pharmacists by increasing staffing and providing support to handle the influx of customers amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The response from CVS comes after reports of some of its pharmacists feeling stressed and neglected due to the heavy workload they’ve been experiencing during the COVID-19 crisis. Pharmacists cite longer wait times, customers angry about the delay, and a shortened staffing pool due to social distancing mandates as some of the reasons they’re feeling overwhelmed.
In response, CVS has stated it will be increasing its staffing at all of its stores. The chain plans to increase its workforce by thousands to ensure that all of its customer’s needs are properly met. In addition, CVS will be providing pharmacists with additional technical support to mitigate their workload and has vowed to remain flexible with their schedules.

The chain has also stated that its pharmacists will also receive additional bonuses and financial recognition for their dedication.
