Canada Silver Cobalt Works Inc. (“CSCW” or the “Company”) (TSX-V: CCW) is pleased to announce it has been approved for funding from Ontario’s Job Creation Program (OJEP) for the geochemical exploration program carried out on the St-Denis and Sangster properties in eastern Ontario. CSCW is committed to advancing the projects with the most potential and is excited to be seen as a leader in innovative exploration programs.
Along with other support received from local government, the OJEP funding will support CSCW in advancing their lithium and cobalt exploration program at Sangster and St-Denis. The OJEP funding, which amounts to $49,686 AUD, will be used to support the geochemical sensing and interpretation of data-rich glacial till and rock samples.
This is part of CSCW’s larger project which is actively advancing the exploration of geochemical anomalies associated with the presence of lithium and cobalt in the Cobalt Camp. The resources that were newly uncovered will help CSCW assess the economic viability of lithium and cobalt in the Camp, a project with the potential to secure far-reaching economic autonomy of the region and create jobs for neighboring communities.
The program applied to the OJEP for additional resources- which would support geophysical and geological survey programs on the two properties- is currently under review. CSCW is confident they remain a key stakeholder in the region and hope the program will receive the additional support it needs.
CSCW’s President and CEO, Frank Basa, commented “We are committed to responsibly advancing our exploration and development projects. This includes the support of local communities in the form of job creation. I would like to thank the OJEP for the current financial support and look forward to potentially receiving additional support from the OJEP for our larger project. I remain confident that CSCW is a key stakeholder in the region.”
CSCW is encouraged by the support of the local government and look forward to working with the community, the local government and OJEP to further support their exploration and development initiatives. With the St-Denis and Sangster projects now well-funded, CSCW looks forward to unlocking the potential of lithium and cobalt resources in the Cobalt Camp.
