ALX Resources Corp. has recently resumed lithium exploration by restarting their drilling program at their Hydra Lithium Project in the James Bay Region of Quebec. The move marks a major milestone for the company as they aim to position the project on a pathway towards securing a definitive evaluation and eventually a lithium mining development in Quebec for the first time ever.
The Hydra Lithium Project, which is strategically located amidst clear geological target potentials, is undergoing an exploration program that is managed by ALX Resources Corp. with the goal of determining the grade, tonnage, and lithium content of the properties’ mineral deposits. In particular, the company is carrying out stakeholder engagement and a drill program that has already completed 12 holes in the southern region of the project area, up to 50 meters in depth of each.
The results of the initial 12 holes suggested that the strategy of the company in looking to identify new lithium deposits in Quebec was justified and that their exploration program could result in a high probability of success. Shockingly, the drill data showed a greater concentration of lithium minerals than expected, leading the exploration team to conclude that more hydrothermal events occurred in the region than previously known and expanding the potential of the project with the promise of more Lithium reserves.
The project continues with the plan to complete the remaining holes up to a depth of 150 meters and thereby ascertain the grade of lithium mineral deposits in the region. The company is also examining other potential project area sites to explore.
Apart from the prospected sites, ALX Resources Corp. is also in the process of conducting various other exploration activities such as seeking out appropriate infrastructure and local partners to facilitate the development of lithium mining in the region. Currently, the company is negotiating a series of agreements with different Aboriginal-led organizations in the region and is developing a responsible mining strategy for the Hydra Lithium Project.
The success of the Hydra Lithium Project could potentially pave the way for the creation of lithium projects in the region, bringing increased job opportunities to local communities, introducing modern sustainable production practices, and stimulating economic diversification.
The plans to develop the Helic Lithium Project is going well and if all goes according to plan, ALX Resources Corp. will soon usher in a new era for lithium exploration and mining in Quebec.
