The use of lithium in the global economy is growing rapidly. In the coming years, it is expected to become even more important as an element used in electric vehicles, consumer electronics, and other applications. With the rising demand for lithium, lithium-mining companies are becoming increasingly important. It is the world’s largest producer of battery-grade lithium hydroxide, with an output of 14,000 tonnes per year. Valence also produces lithium carbonate and lithium carbonate-treated spodumene concentrate.

Galaxy Resources is a top lithium miner from Australia. It operates four major lithium assets in Australia and two in Argentina. Galaxy is the world’s second-largest producer of refined lithium hydroxide. It also produces lithium carbonate and lithium carbonate-treated spodumene concentrate, as well as lithium metal.

It is the world’s largest producer of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide, with a production capacity of more than 220,000 tonnes per year. SQM also owns a number of lithium-mining operations in the Salar de Atacama region of Chile.

FMC Corporation is an American chemical company and one of the largest suppliers of lithium chemicals in the world. It produces lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate as well as lithium-ion battery materials. FMC also produces other chemicals and agricultural products, such as chemicals used in herbicides.

Orocobre Limited is an Australian-Argentinian company that produces lithium and boron products. It is the world’s fourth-largest lithium producer and the largest producer of lithium carbonate in Latin America. Orocobre’s largest lithium mine is located in the Salar de Hombre Muerto region of Argentina.

Livent Corporation is a US-based lithium-mining company that also produces lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate. Livent produces more than 12,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide a year and operates a number of lithium-mining operations, including in the Atacama Desert of Chile.

These seven companies are some of the biggest lithium-mining companies in the world.
