Maryanne Trump Barry, a Federal Judge and the elder sister of President Donald Trump, passed away this week at the age of 86.
Maryanne Trump Barry was born in 1937 to Fred and Mary Trump and was the eldest of five children. She was born and raised in Queens, New York, and attended school at Kew-Forest School and later transfer to the Barnard College. After college graduation in 1958, Barry went to law school at Hofstra University and graduated in 1973.
Barry had an impressive legal career. She served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Leonard I. Garth in New Jersey from 1973 to 1974. After gaining experience as a lawyer, she was appointed a US District Judge for the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in October 1983. In the same year, she was appointed to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. In 1996, she was appointed a Senior Judge of the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Besides her career as a Judge, Maryanne Trump Barry was active in many organisations. She served as the President of the Board of Directors of the American Bar Foundation, Board Member of the US Institute of Peace, Member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Notre Dame and Member of the Board of Trustees of American University.
On Monday, news of her death was stated in the family which brought a dead silence to her family. The cause of death has not been released to the public.
Maryanne Trump Barry has left her mark in history. She is remembered for her courage, humility and her commitment to justice, as well as her constant support for President Donald Trump. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and colleagues.
