“Don’t Take Chances: Trump Must Be Taken Both Seriously and Literally – the Consequences Are Severe!”

For decades, US Presidents have welcomed foreign leaders, making appearances and doing photo ops at various world events. But with the election of President Donald Trump, things have started to shift dramatically. Under his administration, the United States has adopted a policy of “America First” that has impacted the globe in profound ways.

As the 2020 presidential election draws closer, voters must take Trump seriously and literally. Each day brings more news that reveals the ripple effects of the President’s foreign policy decisions and the consequences for the safety and stability of the world. Trump has been in office three years, and his actions – on tariffs, trade, immigration, foreign relations, and more – have all had a pronounced and long-term impact.

Trump has taken a hard-line stance on immigration, cozying up to oppressive regimes like those of North Korea and Saudi Arabia, and abandoning long-standing allies. He pulled the United States out of the Paris Agreement on climate change, imposed tariffs on China and other nations, and pushed for deep budget cuts that weaken the U.S. military. His words are often full of contempt; he has called the leaders of India and Pakistan “weak”, and labeled certain nations as “shithole countries”.

All of these actions have real consequences – consequences for Americans’ security and economic future, as well as for global stability. Trump’s foreign policy will reverberate long after his term ends. The cost of his actions has already taken a toll on the American economy, particularly for farmers and exporters, and could put the United States at a disadvantage against its competitors in the global market.

Trump’s rhetoric has created a divide between the United States and its allies, and has emboldened its adversaries. China’s increasing aggression in the South China Sea is a direct result of the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership – a key trade agreement between the US and several other nations. The President’s statement that he would be “honored” to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un also sent a powerful message to the world that the United States now seeks reconciliation, not confrontation, with countries like North Korea.

In the face of these foreign policy challenges, voters have an opportunity to reject Trump’s political theater and stand up for America’s place in the world. The stakes are that high – ensuring that the United States remains a leader among nations. A vote for Trump is a vote for America to continue down a path of divisiveness and isolationism – a risky move that could have devastating consequences. With the time for the 2020 election approaching quickly, voters must take Trump seriously and literally. The future of the United States and the world depend on it.
