As the countdown to the eighth installment of the Godzilla franchise, Godzilla: The Ord Oracle, draws near, fans eagerly await the epic conclusion to the world-renowned monster’s tenure as the King of Monsters.
The franchise started in 1954, and since then, Godzilla has become an iconic pop culture figure, inspiring TV shows, movies, comics, and even an entire genre of cinema known as Kaiju. Now, over 60 years since the first Godzilla movie was released, the franchise is preparing to end with the latest release, Godzilla: The Ord Oracle, set to hit theaters December 5, 2023.
In typical Godzilla style, the movie promises plenty of action, destruction, and of course, giant monsters. By all accounts, The Ord Oracle looks set to be the biggest and most intense Godzilla movie yet, introducing a brand new villain—the alien hunter, Ord—along with plenty of powerful allies for the King of Monsters to face off against.
So far, plot details surrounding The Ord Oracle are scarce, but it’s rumored that the movie may involve a mysterious artifact known as the “Realm Stone”, with the film’s writer hinting that the Realm Stone could explain Godzilla’s mysterious origin story and ultimately serve as a major plot point.
While we don’t yet have full information about the movie, it’s sure to be an incredible event for Godzilla fans everywhere. As we anxiously count down to the release of The Ord Oracle, speculation runs high as to what secrets and surprises the film may contain. We’ll have to wait until December 5th to find out for sure, but one thing’s for sure—it’s sure to be an explosive and spectacular finale for the King of Monsters.
