VVC Provides Further Update on the Helium Project in Syracuse
Vision Ventures Corporation (VVC), a global, publicly-traded holding company, has recently provided a further update on the Helium Project in Syracuse. This project seeks to transform land in the city into a world-class residential and commercial hub complete with an advanced telecommunications network.
The update includes the details of the current progress being made on the project. To date, the project has seen significant progress in a number of areas. Specifically, VVC and partners have completed the $40 million buildout of the new advanced telecommunications network. This new facilities-based network will offer improved bandwidth, faster speeds, and better reliability for area residents. Year-round support is provided by dedicated staff and technicians.
The Helium Project will also bring much-needed revitalization to an underserved part of the city. More specifically, the partners are investing in education, employment, and community support programs to ensure a sustainable future in the area. The projects aims to create over 1,000 new jobs and develop six new mixed-use facilities.
In addition, VVC and its partners are also investing $10 million to improve existing infrastructure, especially on the residential side. This includes building new roads, widening sidewalks, and installing additional pedestrian safety measures to make the area safer and more walkable. The city is also providing tax incentives and other incentives to attract businesses and residents to the area.
The partners are also investing in a new technology platform, which will help establish a new communications infrastructure to better serve residents. This is centered on the deployment of new 5G technologies, which will bring faster data speeds, additional coverage, and improved reliability to the area.
Finally, the update provided further insight into the timeline of the project. It reveals that construction is on track to be completed by the summer of 2021, with the first phase of residential and commercial construction set to be complete before the end of 2022.
As the project continues to progress, VVC and its partners remain committed to transforming the Syracuse area and working with the community to ensure the project is a success. The partners anticipate that the new, state-of-the-art telecommunications network and related infrastructure improvements will enable residents to fully utilize the potential of the region to the fullest.
The Helium Project in Syracuse has the potential to bring much-needed revitalization to an underserved area of the city and beyond. Through the investment of resources, time, and effort, VVC and its partners have been building on the long-term success of the area and its residents.
