This heart-warming story is one of the most inspirational animal rescue stories ever. It is about a baby gorilla called Badaki, who had been abandoned by her mother and was on the brink of death when she was rescued by a zookeeper from the Koko Gorilla Sanctuary in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Badaki used to be a healthy baby gorilla living in her family. However, due to a severe drought in the region, her family had to move away in search of food and resources, leaving Badaki behind. She soon became weak and ill as she was not being fed or taken care of.
The situation looked very bleak for Badaki until help arrived at the right time. A zookeeper from the Koko Gorilla Sanctuary had been searching the region when he stumbled upon Badaki. Seeing the young baby in such a state, he knew he had to act fast to save her life.
He rushed the baby gorilla to the sanctuary where he provided her much needed medical care and nutrition. The zookeeper stayed with Badaki night and day to ensure she was doing alright. After several weeks of his loving care, Badaki’s health improved and she was out of the woods.
But that was only the beginning for our heroic little gorilla. She was adopted and taken in by a female gorilla who had recently given birth. The other gorilla mother looked after Badaki as if she was her own, and now the two have a bond that will never be broken.
This is another inspiring example of how animal rescue has been successful in saving lives. This baby gorilla was on the brink of death before a zookeeper stepped in to save her. Thanks to his timely action and care, Badaki is now living a happy and healthier life with her new adoptive mom.
