“Uranium Rush: Skyharbour Stakes Their Claim in Saskatchewan’s Rich Athabasca Basin”

Skyharbour Resources Ltd. recently announced the staking of an additional 5,072-hectare uranium property located in the southwestern Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan. This adds to the company’s expansive landholdings in the Athabasca Basin, an area considered one of the top uranium-producing regions in the world.

The newly acquired property, located approximately 125 km northeast of Saskatoon, is situated along the western side of the basin and in close proximity to NexGen Energy Ltd.’s Arrow Deposit. The basin is also home to multiple other significant high-grade deposits, such as Denison Mining’s McArthur River uranium mine and Cameco’s Cigar Lake mine.

The newly acquired land includes five mineralized uranium showings, all of which provide strong evidence of the area’s prospectivity and potential to host significant uranium resources. In addition, the property may also host regional-scale geophysical targets similar to those found at current and historically producing uranium deposits in the Athabasca Basin.

To investigate the area further, the company plans to carry out geological and geophysical surveys, as well as prospecting to better assess the potential of the property. This planned work will be conducted in areas that were not previously explored and have seen little to no modern-day exploration efforts.

Skyharbour is very enthusiastic regarding this land acquisition. According to Jordan Trimble, President and CEO of the company, this stake provides the company with the opportunity to identify new targets for potential uranium discoveries. He added that the strategic location of this property helps build the company’s prospective land package in one of the world’s most prolific uranium districts.

The company also plans to increase and expand their land position in the Athabasca Basin even further. This strategy is intended to increase the company’s chances of finding a potentially significant high-grade uranium deposit in the region.

Skyharbour’s continued investment in the uranium exploration potential of the Athabasca Basin is a positive sign for the future of the area. The company is taking an active role in expanding and investigating the potential of the basin, opening the door for potential discoveries of new uranium resources that could be pivotal to the area’s future prospects.
